•  2011 Gilbert Show Summary

  The 2011 Gilbert Show experienced a bit of "under the weather" conditions. Vendor setup on Thursday started overcast then cleared followed by the sun coming out. Rain reared its ugly head on Friday but Saturday was dry. The turnout Friday was good, considering conditions and Saturday had a very steady influx of spectators. There was a nice MV turnout for display as well. Free rides in the 1944 GMC cargo truck were very popular, even though the travel route was limited to hard paved portions of the parking area because of the very soft ground. Thanks to the members who did the vendor lay-out painting work on Wednesday and those who helped with tent set up, ticket sales and trash collection throughout the show. Special thanks to show manager Jim Gilmore for all his work to make this a REDBALL success and the best show in the East!!
